Triple Threat Dmitry Sinkovsky
Thursday at 8:00PM

Conductors almost always start as musicians, playing at least one or two instruments before taking up the baton. A few are known for playing and conducting careers that run simultaneously (Itzhak Perlman, Leonard Bernstein). However, showing three separate talents in one evening? Dmitry Sinkovsky is going to show us how it's done, conducting the orchestra while playing Vivaldi's Violin Concerto, Il favorito, and then using his amazing countertenor to duet with Atlanta-based Georgia Jarman, a veteran soprano of the international stage.
Moving deftly from conducting and playing the Vivaldi to singing some of the best duets in the operatic repertoire to conducting Mozart's majestic "Jupiter" Symphony, the weekend's concerts are sure to be an experience for the eyes and the ears.
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will be implementing a mandatory vaccine policy for audiences. Beginning September 1, 2021, proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to performance, as well as matching photo ID, will be required upon arrival at Atlanta Symphony Hall.
