About
Very few conductors are known for their playing and conducting careers running simultaneously (Itzhak Perlman, Leonard Bernstein). However, showing three separate talents in one evening? Dmitry Sinkovsky is going to show us how it's done, conducting the orchestra while playing Vivaldi's Violin Concerto, Il favorito, and then using his amazing countertenor voice to duet with Atlanta-based Georgia Jarman, a veteran soprano of the international stage.
Moving deftly from conducting and playing the Vivaldi to singing some of the best duets in the operatic repertoire to conducting Mozart's majestic "Jupiter" Symphony, the weekend's concerts are sure to be an experience for the eyes and the ears.
In consultation with medical and public health experts, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is requiring audience members to show proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID test taken within 48 hours of the performance. Proof of vaccination or negative COVID test will be required for all audience members ages 12 and older to enter Symphony Hall. Face masks are always required in the Memorial Arts Building and Symphony Hall. Guidelines are subject to change based on specific artist requirements. More details are available on our Health & Safety page.
