About
The ASO brings together towering icons of the American musical tradition to Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in one unforgettable evening. Deanna Tham conducts this celebration of America at 250.
The concert opens with the irresistible energy of Leonard Bernstein, from the sparkling wit of his Candide Overture to the electrifying drama of West Side Story, before exploring works by Duke Ellington and Jimmy López. Aaron Copland anchors the second half with the grandeur of Fanfare for the Common Man, the rustic charm of Variations on a Shaker Melody, and the stomping, foot-tapping joy of “Hoe-Down” from Rodeo. George Gershwin's An American in Paris brings the evening to its triumphant close — a jazz-infused tone poem that captures the romance, restlessness, and sheer vitality of a nation finding its voice. Program subject to change.
Premium reserved table seating is available for purchase.
