I spy with my little eye an adventure filled with classical music and storytelling, featuring a string quartet! The world of Walter Wick's I SPY! books comes to life as kids and their families help musicians and actors discover new sights and sounds from I SPY! artwork.
In collaboration with the High Museum of Art, this concert complements the upcoming exhibit, "I SPY! Walter Wick's Hidden Wonders."

Synopsis

As the Maestro prepares for the concert, we realize that they are not quite prepared and have lost their baton. They look to Clara for help, sending the two of them on a journey through Walter Wick’s imaginative worlds. They explore what the music is communicating, how it makes us feel, and how those feelings can be expressed through movement.

By the end of the journey, the missing baton has been found and their world has been transformed by Walter Wick. Maestro is now prepared by understanding the feelings within the music, what those feelings communicate, and how movement helps bring those feelings to life.

Arrive Early for Preconcert Fun

Pre-concert festivals accompany each performance*, including photobooth fun, the Instrument Exploration Station, where kids can discover their favorite instruments and more. Families may also explore the new PNC PlaySpace, located next door to the Goizueta Stage for Youth & Families. Young visitors may enjoy playing in rotating installations, though advance reservations are encouraged as space is limited to allow for room to roam.

*Pre-concert activities are not included for the performances on September 28, October 2 and 5.
