About
Music Director Nathalie Stutzmann presents one of the great masterpieces of all time: J. S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion—a sacred oratorio composed for Good Friday, 1727. The St. Matthew Passion has been a hallmark of Maestro Stutzmann’s career, first as a celebrated contralto and now as a conductor. This week she joins the world-renowned Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in welcoming an international lineup of vocal soloists and the Spivey Hall Children’s Choir for what promises to be a season highlight.
Bach & Friends Festival
In honor of his March birthday, the ASO is excited for a month-long festival of music by Bach and his contemporaries.
