About

This second concert in the ASYO's season begins with American composer Alvin Singleton's Across Differences, which the composer notes "can refer to the differences between cultures, but it also refers to my thought process." The program also includes a movement of Erich Korngold's Hollywood-flavored Violin Concerto in D Major, and the first part of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring – the opening of which once scandalized all of Paris.

He'll be leading a program featuring all Czech music—Kaprálová, Dvořák, and Martinů’s Concerto for Two Pianos featuring Christina and Michelle Naughton. Maestro Bortolameolli's schedule includes recent and upcoming performances with New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, San Diego Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Hong Kong Philharmonic—we're so grateful to him for making time to come to Atlanta for these concerts!
