New Afterglow Series Features Small Ensembles Up Close

October 30, 2026

This coming February, audiences can experience Atlanta’s finest musicians closer than ever as they connect, collaborate, and shine. The new 3-concert series brings chamber works vividly to life as part of the Midtown After Hours programming at the Goizueta Stage for Youth & Families.

Tickets just went on sale for the first concert that is part of the season-long Brahms Revealed celebration on Friday, February 5, at 8 pm. ASO musicians and special guests bring Brahms’s feverishly Romantic masterworks to life.  The audience will be treated to an intimate performance by sibling duo, David and Julie Coucheron, who join forces for Brahms’ Third Violin Sonata.

The dazzling program features some of the composer’s most virtuosic and freewheeling works, letting every musician shine, especially in his Horn Trio. Brahms’s String Sextet No. 1 includes stellar young cellist Sterling Elliott, who will be in Atlanta to perform on the orchestra’s Delta Classical Series concerts as the featured guest artist.
