Free Livestreamed Concert Outdoors Featuring Beethoven's 9th Symphony

November 14, 2025

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's two-season endeavor, The Beethoven Project, concludes when Music Director Natalie Stutzmann leads the monumental “Choral” Ninth Symphony in three sold-out performances at Symphony Hall on November 13, 15, and 16. Beethoven's revolutionary Ninth Symphony culminates in its famous choral finale, celebrating universal brotherhood and hope, featuring the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus.

In an effort to include more Atlantans in this performance, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will live-stream the performance for free onto a massive outdoor screen at Colony Square in Midtown on Sunday, November 16, at 3pm.

Before the performance turns to Beethoven, Stutzmann presents two Bach gems – his Concerto for Two Violins, BWV 1043, and Cantata, BWV 56. Concertmaster David Coucheron and Acting Associate/Assistant Concertmaster Lauren Roth-Gomez shine in Bach's only Double Violin Concerto.

Croatian baritone Leon Košavić, whose voice is described as "powerful, supple and rich" (Lapresse.ca) joins the ASO Chamber Chorus as the featured soloist for Bach's Cantata BWV56 and later joins soloists Christina Nilsson, Rhianna Cockrell and Siyabonga Maqungo in Beethoven's Ninth.

Access to the livestreamed concert is also available at Medici.tv.
