Announcing The Mysore Brothers Performing An Indian Classical Recital
World-renowned violin maestros, Dr. Myesore Manjunath and Mysore Nagaraj perform in recital with special guests and musicians of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra on Friday, September 25, at 7:30 pm. Known for their immense contribution to the Carnatic music tradition of South India, the Mysore Brothers bring their virtuosic talent to the Goizueta Stage for Youth & Families for one night only.
The Los Angeles Times warmly noted that the Mysore Brothers have “crossed over so many boundaries to create musical wonder.” Their vast performance credits include performing at the Sydney Opera House, Royal Albert Hall, Common Thread Music Festival, among others.
The Mysore Brothers' artistry in Indian classical music comes to the new Goizueta Stage with guests Sai Giridhar (mrigandam), Giridhar Udupa (ghatam) and Anjaneya Sastry (tabla). Members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will perform music from Reena Esmail and Dr. Manjunath, including Kenn Wagner (violin), Kevin Chen (violin), Yiyin Li (viola), and Brad Ritchie (cello).
