Tristan Michael Lewis is a student at Collins Hill High School (Class of 2026) where he serves as concertmaster of the school’s chamber orchestra. Tristan began his musical journey at the age of four on piano and later played the cello in sixth grade before discovering his passion for the violin during the summer of 2020. Largely self-taught for his first three years on the instrument during the pandemic, he developed his technique and artistry through careful listening and playing by ear, which strengthened his perfect pitch and refined his aural skills.

In 2023, Tristan joined the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Talent Development Program (TDP), where he studies under Atlanta Symphony Orchestra violinist Bob Anemone. He has been a member of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra (ASYO) for two seasons and previously performed with the Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra. Tristan was selected for the GMEA All-State Full Orchestra for three consecutive years. In the summer of 2024, he attended the Franklin Pond Chamber Music Intensive, and in 2025, he attended the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival in Vermont.

Tristan aspires to become a violin soloist and perform with orchestras around the world. He hopes to continue his studies at one of the nation’s leading conservatories, such as The Juilliard School, The New England Conservatory, or The Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin.
