Sean Mouzon

Biography

My name is Sean Mouzon, and I am a 15-year-old French Hornist. I am a hybrid student who homeschools and attends Southwest DeKalb High School in Decatur, GA. I was inspired to play French Horn because of a character from the Little Einsteins. Quincy played the French Horn in one episode and played what I now know was an excerpt from Mozart. When I was nine, I had the opportunity to join a band class and I selected the French Horn. Since then, I’ve participated in marching band, playing the mellophone and the Marching French Horn. I’ve had the opportunity to participate in the County and District Honor Band, JanFest, and LGPE. I have studied with Anthony Pickard, James Seda, William May, Trayon Hall, and Richard Williams. I had the privilege of being accepted into the TDP program Summer of 2023 and am currently studying with Ryan Little, Principal Horn for the ASO. I am currently a member of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra. I have attended FAMU’s Summer Band Camp, the Atlanta Music Project, Precision Band Camp, and Georgia Mass Band and performed with the Atlanta University Orchestra. I love gaming, skating, and Marvel Movies. When I graduate from the TDP program I plan to attend college and continue my music education.
