Biography

Scott Sanders is the newly appointed Fourth Horn of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Sanders previously held positions with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and the Sarasota Orchestra. He has performed with the Dallas Symphony, the Pittsburgh Symphony, the Naples Philharmonic, and the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra.

Sanders attended Northwestern University, where he studied with legendary horn pedagogues Gail Williams and Jon Boen. During his time at Northwestern, he was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and spent summers at the Tanglewood Music Center and the Aspen Music Festival and School. Originally from the Dallas area, Mr. Sanders studied with David Heyde and spent three summers with NYO-USA.

Outside of his orchestral career, Scott has begun to establish himself as a reputable chamber musician, performing as a featured artist with Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota and ensembleNEWSRQ. Scott performs on Kortesmaki horns made by Karl Hill.
