Nathaniel Kearney, Jr.
Biography
Nathaniel Kearney, Jr. is originally from the small town of Halifax, NC. He got his start playing drums in the church. By the age of 15, his love for bass had taken over, and he decided to put all of his energy into learning how to play the instrument. That decision would be life changing.
His gift has taken him all over the world…from West Africa to the White House. He’s played for and recorded with a Who’s Who of artists across multiple genres. That list includes Grammy winners Mary Mary, Smokie Norful, Christopher Cross, Patti Labelle, Kirk Whalum, Babyface, Toni Braxton, Lalah Hathaway, Norman Brown, CeCe Winans, Bob James, & Jeff Lorber…as well as Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers, Kenny Lattimore, Dave Koz, Bishop Paul Morton, Rahsaan Patterson, Valerie Simpson, Jonathan Butler, VaShawn Mitchell, Eric Marienthal, Jeffrey Osborne, and a host of others.
