Biography

I first began my musical aspirations in the sixth grade. I joined the band playing the flute. After playing the flute for six months, my band teacher, Mr. Danny Glover, recommended that I start learning how to play the oboe. I instantly fell in love with the instrument and started taking private lessons with Emily Gunby. In seventh grade, I was in the Honors Band for Mid-Fest at UGA. I continued to gain knowledge by attending the Athena band camp the past two summers. I was accepted into Talent Development Program at the end of my seventh-grade year and began private lessons with Emily Brebach. I continuously learn various playing techniques to increase my skills. In the future, I would love to attend a university that will prepare me to pursue my music career.

Fun Fact: I have an identical twin sister, who also loves music, but isn't a musician. I have been a Girl Scout for the past 9 years. I enjoy reading and watching anime and learning anything relating to Japanese culture.
