LeRell Ross

Biography

LeRell Ross is an Atlanta-based composer, music director, performer, educator, and creative leader whose work spans professional theatre, arts education, and community engagement. Born and raised in Camden, New Jersey, he relocated to Atlanta to pursue his musical studies at Morehouse College, concentrating in Vocal Performance.

A respected collaborator throughout the Southeast, LeRell has built a multifaceted career as a music director, pianist, conductor, performer, and creator. His artistic work has been featured with organizations including Atlanta Opera, Aurora Theatre, Synchronicity Theatre, Out of Hand Theater, Georgia Ensemble Theatre, Theatre Covington, Dominion Entertainment, and Oglethorpe University Theatre. Known for his ability to blend musical excellence with compelling storytelling, he has contributed to numerous productions, workshops, and educational initiatives that connect artists and audiences across generations.

In addition to his work in regional theatre, LeRell is deeply committed to arts education and the development of new works. As an educator and mentor, he has dedicated his career to nurturing emerging artists, fostering creativity, and creating meaningful opportunities for young people to engage with music and performance. His passion for collaborative artistry and community-centered programming continues to shape his work both on and off the stage.

LeRell is honored to serve as Creative Director and Script Advisor for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Music for the Very Young audience concert series. Through imaginative storytelling, interactive musical experiences, and a deep belief in the transformative power of the arts, he seeks to inspire curiosity, spark joy, and cultivate a lifelong love of music in the next generation of concertgoers.
