Ezra Garcia is a student at South Cobb High School (Class of 2028) who discovered his passion for the flute in sixth grade. His dedication to the instrument led to his acceptance into the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Talent Development Program (TDP) in seventh grade. He currently studies with Todd Skitch of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Through TDP Ezra has gained invaluable opportunities including masterclasses in conducting and graphic notation along with regular attendance at Atlanta Symphony Orchestra concerts.

Ezra furthered his musical development by participating in the Schwob School of Music Summer Festival where he studied with Dr. Andrée Martin and by performing in masterclasses with Christina Smith (Principal Flute, ASO) and Linda Toote (Professor of Flute, Boston University and Boston Conservatory). He attended the Boston University Tanglewood Institute (BUTI) in 2025 where he continued his studies with Professor Toote. Ezra also plays in the Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Looking ahead, Ezra aspires to perform with a major orchestra and build his own flute studio to share his love of music with future generations of flutists. Outside of music, Ezra enjoys spending time with family and friends, visiting arcades, watching scary movies, and doing arts and crafts.

Fun Fact: I chose my instrument because my mom played the flute when she was in middle school.
