Biography

Dr. Allan Levey is a neurologist and neuroscientist internationally recognized for his work in Alzheimer's disease and other disorders. He is the founding director of the Goizueta Institute @Emory Brain Health and director of the Goizueta Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at Emory. He has consistently been listed among one of the Best Doctors in America. Under his leadership, the Department of Neurology is ranked among the top departments in the United States for research and clinical programs.

Dr. Levey has received many awards including membership in the National Academy of Medicine, and recipient of the Derek Denny-Brown Neurological Scholar Award from the American Neurological Association, the Heikkila Research Scholar Award from the National Parkinson Foundation, the Team Hope Award for Medical Leadership from the Huntington's Disease Society of America, and he was inducted into the Johns Hopkins Society of Scholars. Dr. Levey was also named an ISI Highly Cited Researcher in the field of Neuroscience.
