Dad's Garage

Biography

Dad's Garage is an award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit theatre company on a mission to transform people, communities, and perspectives through laughter. The Dad’s Garage ensemble performs 52 weeks of the year at their home base in Atlanta’s historic Old Fourth Ward, as well as at festivals, fundraisers, and events across the continent! Dad’s Garage also offers classes for all ages and supports professional development through workshops designed to elevate corporate team building and communication. While best known for improv comedy, Dad’s Garage is a creative incubator for original scripted shows, musicals, and sketch performances.

In addition to year-round performance classes and camps for adults and children, corporate workshops and events, and free community nights, Dad's Garage has at least six shows per week with something for everyone. This includes SCANDAL! The Bare, an episodic improvised serial drama providing a fresh, comedic take on restaurant culture and prestige television series The Bear; the family-friendly Wowie Zowie returning in July; and a fun and engaging production of the hit musical comedy GUTENBERG! THE MUSICAL!, opening in June. Every show at Dad’s Garage is unique, fresh, and fun, and the theatre invites you to explore their exciting original productions coming in the theatre’s season 31!
