Cameron Hall, Class of 2023

Biography

Cameron Hall is a 12th grade tubist who attends Northgate High School in Newnan, GA and loves all things orchestral music. He began playing the tuba in the sixth grade while in Texas. Since moving back to the Atlanta area, he’s accomplished many feats through his playing. Under the direction of Alan Armstrong and Christopher Sink at Northgate High School, Cameron has made the GMEA District VI Honor Band every year of high school and been selected to a GMEA All-State Band twice. Cameron completed the Governor’s Honors Program in 2021 as a Brass major, which introduced him into orchestral settings. He’s been a member of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra since 2021, and thoroughly enjoys performing some of classical music’s most exciting repertoire alongside Atlanta’s most talented young musicians. In the summer of 2022, Cameron embarked on a tour of Europe with the National Youth Orchestra, which performed a thrilling show featuring Mahler’s Fifth Symphony. Though he only joined TDP this past summer, Cameron is extremely grateful for the opportunities that TDP have opened up for him. From excellent, insightful lessons with ASO tubist Michael Moore, to rewarding evaluations and recitals, there is always something happening through TDP that benefits his playing. After graduating, Cameron plans to attend college where he’ll major in music performance in hopes of landing a job with one of the worlds top ensembles, and replenishing the world with music that it so greatly deserves.
