Camden Ingram is a student at Sandtown Middle School (Class of 2030) who passionately began his study of the flute at age 11. After only four months into his musical journey, Camden’s band director, Ms. Sarkino Walker, noticed his swift progression and showcased his talent by featuring him to perform the solo introduction to “Rhapsody in Blue” in his first-ever winter concert. Since this event Camden’s commitment to honing his skills on the flute has significantly evolved. He has shown interest in studying other genres of music such as jazz, which led him to join the jazz band at his school, participate in the Rialto Jazz for Kids All-Star Big Band Program, and attend the Georgia State Summer Music Institute, where he performed at the Rialto Center for the Arts as well as the Red Light Café. However, Camden prioritizes his dedication toward the study of classical music.

In August of 2025, Camden studied under the guidance of Matthieu Clavé to prepare for an audition with the Atlanta Music Project Senior Youth Orchestra. After earning a position in this ensemble, Camden was chosen to perform at the Day of German Unity Celebration at Ventanas, at the AMP Fall Concert at Druid Hills Presbyterian Church, and at Monica Pearson’s Holiday Edition of One-on-One, a yearly televised special which airs on Atlanta News First.

Camden joined the Talent Development Program in 2025 and began studying under Atlanta Symphony Orchestra flutist Todd Skitch. As a first-year TDP student, he is looking forward to advancing his study of the flute, carving a path for him to attend a music conservatory in the future and eventually joining a major orchestra. In the summer of 2026, Camden plans to further enhance his musical talent by attending the Interlochen Flute Intensive Camp.

In addition to playing the flute, Camden has a host of other hobbies such as reading, gaming, crocheting, and skating. He thoroughly enjoys teaching young flutists in the beginning band at his school in his spare time. He especially enjoys being in the company of his family and friends, his greatest supporters.
