2026/27 Classical Season
On the heels of our wildly popular Beethoven Project, we're excited to announce an equally epic exploration that we're calling Brahms Revealed where the orchestra dives into the music of this master orchestral architect. Entering her fifth season with our world-class Orchestra, Nathalie leads them in performing ten of his works, including all four of his symphonies and both of his piano concertos one of which will be performed by our artist-in-residence Anna Geniushene.
Nathalie selected Anna Geniushene to perform as piano soloist for three concerts this coming season as part of her residency and had this to say about her:
"This artist captivated us all during her first visit. I consider her to be one of the Grandes Dames of today's piano world. Anna possesses everything technique, extreme sensitivity, and finesse, playing every note with all her heart and soul."
We continue to attract exceptional guest artists to the Symphony Hall stage, including violinists Joshua Bell and Veronika Eberle, pianist Benjamin Grosvenor, and cellist Sterling Elliott. We also shine a spotlight on our own superstars as soloists, including Concertmaster David Coucheron, Principal Clarinet Jesse McCandless, and Principal Horn Ryan Little.
This new season includes an amazing range of concerts that you won’t want to miss:
- Our powerful ASO Chorus in two iconic Requiem performances with an all-star cast of vocal soloists.
- Nathalie highlights a special passion of hers operatic works by Berlioz, Gluck, and Wagner.
- A spotlight on Gershwin and an all-Mozart concert are sure to delight.
- David Coucheron, our own classical rock star, offers another sparkling rendition of The Four Seasons.
You can read more about the coming season in Jon Ross' preview article.
