Join us for ZOOMing! We are currently scheduling ZOOM events which include time both for connection and for a performance by a member of our own ASO. Get to know some of our great ASO artists up close and personal.

As soon as is feasible, we will return to our great programs which take place through each ASA Unit. The Ensemble Unit gathers inside the perimeter typically in a private home during the day with a performance and social hour. Encore tends to meet north of the perimeter in homes for dinner which members enjoy providing. A guest artist also performs. The Concerto Unit includes many musicians and educators and meets in DeKalb county during the day with guest artists or speakers as well

Our typical events – which we hope will return soon – include

  • Volunteering at the Young Peoples Concerts – For children brought in by bus from area schools during the day to experience a live ASO performance
  • Volunteering at Instrument Petting Zoos – Often in association with Family Concerts. Children get an opportunity to hold and play an instrument with help from an ASA volunteer
  • Open Rehearsals – Enabling us to experience ASO performances just before live performance events
  • Spring and Fall Luncheons at the Woodruff Arts Center – Include special updates by ASO personnel and ASO Artist performances. Stay tuned for the development of a new ASA Unit to be centered around socializing and gathering at the Woodruff Arts Center and in association with ASO performances.
