Isabella Torres is an eighth-grade student at Arbor Montessori School and a member of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra Philharmonia. This past summer she attended the Reina Sofía Young Artists Summer Camp in Madrid, Spain, where she performed at Sony Auditorium. She previously participated in the Franklin Pond Chamber Music Intensive (2023, 2024).
Since joining the Talent Development Program in 2022, Isabella has performed at events including UpTempo Teen Nights, the TDP 30th Anniversary Recital, and the TDP Musicale at Atlanta Symphony Hall. She is a former member of the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra where she served as lead flutist in both the Flute Choir and Philharmonic and was recently selected to perform in the Christina Smith Masterclass at Georgia State University Flute Day.
Isabella began her musical journey at age four with piano lessons at the European School of Music in Sandy Springs. By age seven, she had taught herself to play the recorder and soon chose the flute as her primary instrument. She has studied with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra flutist Todd Skitch for the past five years while continuing her piano studies.
Outside of music, Isabella enjoys drawing, reading many kinds of books, and making crafts.
