Biography

Dylan Gutierrez-Aguilar is a sophomore at Collins Hill High School. Dylan was first introduced to the viola at age 11. Having always been awed by the beauty of the orchestra, Dylan knew that orchestra was for him. When considering his options, Dylan was quickly amazed by the beautiful sound of the viola which is in between the violin and the cello. Dylan decided that the viola was the perfect instrument to his liking and now at age 15 seeks to produce the most elegant sound possible with help from the marvelous Dr. Marylin Seelman whom he has studied with since being accepted into the prestigious Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Talent Development Program in 2022. This year, Dylan was selected for the GMEA all-state orchestra and a current member of the Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra (EYSO) and principal viola of his high school chamber orchestra. Dylan aspires to be the best person he can and to one day hopefully become a great musician. Apart from the viola, Dylan enjoys hanging out with friends and loves playing and watching soccer. He also enjoys listening to many types of music which include classical and jazz.
