A native of the Chicagoland area, Katie Klich grew up playing piano, singing in chorus and learning the many instruments of the wind ensemble. She is a graduate of both Boston University and New England Conservatory, receiving BM and MM degrees in oboe performance, along with a minor in chemistry. During her graduate studies, Klich became seriously interested in orchestral librarianship and further trained with the librarians of the Boston Symphony. Her career includes serving as a librarian with the Phoenix, Dallas and Utah Symphonies, leading to her current position with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. As an active member of MOLA, Katie has presented sessions on the topics of Pops program preparation and production and is a member of the publication committee.
Outside of the library, she enjoys hiking, jigsaw puzzles and playing with her cat Emmie, who has joined along on all of the cross-country travels.
