The last three times Janet Sung was in Adrian she performed Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto, performed Vivaldi's Four Seasons and later came back to record the Vivaldi on an ASO CD. When she returns this time she'll premiere a new work written just for her and also perform Samuel Barber's absolutely BEAUTIFUL Violin Concerto. Full of lyric expression and ending with one of the most difficult movements ever written for the instrument, the Barber is truly magnificent music that taxes both the musicianship and the technical prowess of the soloist. But that's not all: On the same evening, Janet will return to the stage to premiere a new work written especially for the occasion by award-winning composer Kenneth Fuchs, whose music has been recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra. This concert begins a two-year relationship between the ASO and the composer which will result in the premieres of FIVE new works written for the ASO! Also on this program will be Aaron Copland's Suite from The Tender Land. This promises to be one of the highlights in the ASO's entire history. Don't miss it for anything!
